D'Addario NYXL Single Strings
All available single strings of the D'Addario NYXL Series.
- Standard for electric guitar: E1, H2, G3 are plain (so NYS)
- Standard for electric guitar: D4, A5, E6 are wound (so NYNW)
-> as standard D-string please choose the NYNW024 or NYNW026, NOT the NYS024 or NYS026
For drop tuning or jazz strumming, electric guitarists often choose the G-string wound, e.g. an NYNW020 as G-string. Attention: this string cannot be easily replaced with a normal neck adjustment, because wrapped strings have a higher tension than non-wrapped plain strings. A neck adjustment must be made in most cases!
